“I acknowledge and agree that I have [read the guidelines for the upcoming Women’s Golf Outing and that I understand my role and responsibilities for promoting and maintaining a healthy and safe environment for myself and all attendees. I further acknowledge that, due to the nature of infectious diseases like COVID-19 and their presence in society, no physical environment is free of the risk of transmission. The rules and guidelines identified in the [event guidelines] can mitigate, but can not eliminate, this risk. I agree to adhere to all of the safety rules and guidelines put in place for VCU events, and that I will serve as an ambassador for the university in assisting others to do the same. I also understand that our current small group gatherings are subject to change. This means that the university and attendees must remain flexible and adjust as new information and, potentially, state and federal directives emerge requiring changes to guidelines and university operations. With that, I am responsible for checking [Athletics] communication pages regarding any changes to the current guidelines on [Athletics events] during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
